NOTE:
Secure the steering wheel utilizing a strap to prevent rotation. Locking of the steering column will prevent damage and a possible malfunction of the SIR system. The steering wheel must be secured in position before disconnecting the following components: Preliminary Procedure: Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

After disconnecting these components, do not move the front tires and wheels. Failure to follow these procedures may cause improper alignment of some components during installation and result in possible damage to the SIR coil. |

| 1 | Tie Rod End Outer Nuts (Qty: 2)
NOTE:
Refer to Fastener Notice
.
Tighten: 30 N.m (22 lb ft) plus an additional 115 degrees |
| 2 | Outer Tie Rod End Tip: Remove the tie rod end. |
| 3 | Power Steering Outlet Pipe/Hose Fitting Tip: Drain the power steering system. Tighten: 27 N.m (20 lb ft) |
| 4 | Power Steering Gear Mounting Nut/Bolt (Qty: 2) Tighten: 60 N.m (44 lb ft) |
