Removal Procedure

  1. Engine coolant must be drained below the level of the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill) or Draining and Filling Cooling System (GE 47716 Fill) .
    2. Fig 1: Identifying Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor

  2. Disconnect the ECT sensor harness connector.
  3. Remove the ECT sensor.
