Installation Procedure

Fig 1: Identifying Ignition Switch With Electrical Connector & Steering Column Assembly

IMPORTANT: The ignition switch groove must be correctly aligned with the ignition lock cylinder tongue.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Install the ignition switch to steering column assembly retaining screws (3).
Tighten: Tighten the screws to 3 N.m (27 lb in).
Connect the ignition switch electrical connector (1).
Install the Steering Column Trim Covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement .
Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
