Component Test

  1. Inspect the CMP sensor for looseness and correct installation.
  2. Connect jumper wires from the CMP sensor connector 12 volt reference and the low reference to the CMP sensor. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. Connect a DMM to the CMP Sensor signal at the CMP sensor and observe the Duty cycle. pass a steel object by the sensor repeatedly. The Duty cycle should increment.
    • If the duty cycle does not increment, replace the CMP sensor.
