Removal Procedure

    Fig 1: Identifying Engine Oil Pressure Sensor, Knock Sensor, & CKP Sensor Electrical Connectors

  1. Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor electrical connector (3).
  2. Remove the oil level indicator tube. Refer to Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement (LE5) .

  4. Remove the positive battery cable nut (2) from the starter solenoid.
  5. Remove the positive battery cable (3) from the starter solenoid.

  7. Remove the CKP sensor bolt.
  8. Remove the CKP sensor.
