Installation Procedure

  1. Install the outer tie rod to the inner tie rod.
  2. Connect the tie rod to the knuckle.

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Install a new tie rod retention nut and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft) plus 90 degrees.
  4. Install the front tire assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  5. Check the wheel alignment. Refer to Wheel Alignment Measurement .
