Primary Resistance

With ignition switch in the off position, disconnect wires from primary terminals of ignition coil to isolate it from the system. Set ohmmeter for x1 scale.
Connect ohmmeter leads to 2 primary terminals. Reading should be .4-.6 ohm. If not, replace ignition coil.
