Advance Unit

The advance unit acting in partial load range is connected on the throttle housing through a vacuum connection. A temperature switch, which is closed below 130°F (60°C), interrupts the vacuum flow. In this manner vacuum ignition advance is avoided in cold state, which means better emission control in a partial load range.
