Cruise Control Actuator

  1. Remove rear heater blower. Disconnect wiring harness at engine compartment. Measure cruise control actuator resistance between pins No. 1 and 7. See Fig 1 . Actuator motor resistance should be 3-15 ohms.
  2. Connect ohmmeter between pins No. 2 and 4, then pins No. 2 and 3. Potentiometer resistance reading in both instances should be 2000-4000 ohms.
  3. Connect ohmmeter between pins No. 5 and 6. Clutch actuator resistance should be 30-40 ohms. If readings are not as specified, ensure wiring harness to actuator is okay. If necessary, replace cruise control actuator.
