Vehicle Type:

Boxster / Boxster S

Model Year:
As of 1997 (V)

Concern:
Electrical plug connection on the heating / air-conditioning control.

Information:
Certain conditions, such as high humidity, can cause condensation to form on the central vent. The condensation then drips onto the electrical plug connection of the heating / air-conditioning control causing corrosion to form on the electrical connector.

To prevent this condition, a piece of self-adhesive foam will be adherred to the underside of the central vent on vehicles with a faulty heating / air-conditioning control caused by corrosion on the electrical plug connection. The foam should be applied as a preventive measure if the vent has been removed due to other service needs.
