Transfer Case
NOTE:
Fluid level can only be checked after vehicle has been stationary for 45 minutes. Engine must not be started during this period.
Raise and support vehicle. See DISABLING/ENABLING ELECTRONIC LEVEL CONTROL . Remove oil inspection plug (A). See Fig 1 . Oil level is correct if oil reached lower edge of inspection window. If not, top off as necessary. Fill with oil to lower edge of inspection plug (A), using ATF filling device for filling transmission. Place topping off equipment in a raised position. Install oil inspection plug with NEW sealing ring. Tighten to 15 ft. lbs. (20 N.m).
