Removing Front Pneumatic Spring
CAUTION:
Incorrect handling of gas-filled shock absorbers
→ Gas-filled shock absorbers must be in idle state before removal.
→ Open the lid.
→ Secure the lid to prevent it from closing accidentally following removal of the gas-filled shock absorbers.
→ Do not use force to open the gas-filled shock absorbers because of their high internal pressure.
- Gas-filled shock absorbers can burst
- Risk of eye injuries
- Risk of bruising
→ Gas-filled shock absorbers must be in idle state before removal.
→ Open the lid.
→ Secure the lid to prevent it from closing accidentally following removal of the gas-filled shock absorbers.
→ Do not use force to open the gas-filled shock absorbers because of their high internal pressure.
Information
The help of another person is required.
- Secure front lid against accidental closure.
- Detach front pneumatic spring -1-
at the lid.
Pneumatic spring on the lid side
- 2.1 Insert a screwdriver -2- between the head of the pneumatic spring and the safety clip -3-arrow A- .
- 2.2 Release the safety clip -3- by levering with the screwdriver -2-arrow B- .
- 2.3 The safety clip -3- remains at the head of the pneumatic spring.
- 2.4 Pull the pneumatic spring -1- off the ball joint -arrow C- .
- 2.5 Pull out the screw driver -2- .
- Detach the front pneumatic spring -1-
at the body.
Pneumatic spring on body side
- 3.1 Insert a screwdriver between the head of the pneumatic spring and the safety clip -3-arrow A- .
- 3.2 Release the safety clip -3- using a screwdriver -arrow B- .
- 3.3 The safety clip -3- remains at the head of the pneumatic spring.
- 3.4 Pull the pneumatic spring -1- off the ball joint -arrow C- .
- 3.5 Pull out the screwdriver.
- Remove front pneumatic spring.
