The thermostatic switch, Fig. 27, is closed at temperatures below 113°F (45°C). If the temperature rises above this, the switch won't close until the temperature drops to 100°F (38°C). The thermostatic switch is connected in series with the thermo-time switch. Therefore, the cold start valve or terminal TKK of the time relay cannot be grounded at temperatures above 113°F (45°C).
