Engine Control Module: Description and Operation

Engine Control Module:

PURPOSE
The ECM receives various input sensor signals and calculates outputs for the injection, ignition, and turbo control systems.

LOCATION
Left side of cowl area, beneath access panel.

FEATURES
- 70-pin connector with improved lock/release mechanism.
- Two versions: with ETS and without ETS.
- Case grounded with separate strap to reduce radio interference.
