DTC B1192: TCS Switch Shorted To Ground
- Turn ignition on. Press TCS switch repeatedly. If TCS OFF light alternately goes on and off, go to step 4). If TCS OFF light does not alternately go on and off, remove TCS switch. Disconnect TCS switch connector. Connect ohmmeter between switch terminals No. 5 and 7. See Fig 1 . With switch depressed, continuity should be present. With switch not depressed, no continuity should be present. If readings are to specification, go to next step. If readings are not to specification, replace switch.
- Start engine. Connect voltmeter between switch connector terminal No. 5 and ground. See Fig 1 . If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, check wiring for an open circuit. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Connect voltmeter between switch connector terminal No. 7 and voltage. See Fig 1 . If battery voltage is not present, check wiring for an open circuit. If battery voltage is present, go to next step.
- Erase DTC. Test drive vehicle. If DTC reoccurs, replace TCS control module. See REPLACING TCS CONTROL MODULE .
