DTC P0605: Internal Control Module Malfunction

Replace ECM. See ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) under COMPUTERIZED ENGINE CONTROLS in REMOVAL, OVERHAUL & INSTALLATION article. Connect TECH 2 scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition on. Clear DTCs from Trionic T-7 Engine Management System. Turn ignition off. Wait 10 seconds, then reset limp-home mechanism. See RESETTING LIMP-HOME SOLENOID  under TESTING & REPAIR PROCEDURE. Clear DTCs from all systems. Test drive vehicle for 5 minutes under various load conditions. Recheck for stored DTCs. If DTC P0605 is present, check electrical connections at ECM and limp-home solenoid. See appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS article. Repair as necessary. If no problems are found, substitute known good ECM and retest system.
