Control Valve Body Cover Replacement

Preliminary Procedure 
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE .
  2. Remove the left front wheel and tire assembly. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove the engine shield. Refer to ENGINE SHIELD REPLACEMENT .
  4. Remove the transaxle oil cooler lines and seals from the transaxle. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID COOLER HOSE REPLACEMENT .
1 Control Valve Body Fastener (Qty: 11)
Refer to FASTENER CAUTION .
Procedure 
  1. Install the control valve body cover bolts hand tight. Use locking agent on ALL bolts. Refer to ADHESIVES, FLUIDS, LUBRICANTS, AND SEALERS .
  2. Tighten the control valve body cover bolts in the sequence shown.

Tighten 
13 Nm (10 lb ft)
2 Control Valve Body Cover
Procedure 
  1. Install a 3 mm (0.125 in) bead of RTV sealer on to the control valve body cover.
  2. Clean any gasket material from the control valve body cover and inspect the gasket mounting surface.
  3. Check the transaxle fluid level. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL AND CONDITION CHECK .
NOTE: Do not pry with a tool on the transaxle control valve body cover, case or sealing surfaces.
