Driver Inflator Module: Removal

Disable SIR system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM. Remove screw caps on steering wheel by prying with flathead screwdriver. Remove inflator module screws. Lift inflator out of module. See Fig 1.

Remove integral connector lock device with small flathead screwdriver. Disconnect connector and remove inflator module. See Fig 2.

NOTE: Always replace inflator module fasteners, do not reuse.
