Cooling Fan Operates Constantly

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove cooling fan relay from engine compartment fuse/relay block. Reconnect negative battery cable. If fan stays on, repair short to voltage in Light Blue wire between engine compartment fuse/relay block and cooling fan motor.
  2. If cooling fan stops running, replace cooling fan relay. If cooling fan stays on after replacing relay, check for a short to ground in MD2Dark Green wire between Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and cooling fan relay. If Dark Green wire is okay, replace PCM.
