Diagnostic Aids
Inspect vacuum hoses for cracks and splits. If all hoses and connections are okay, check for intake manifold and MAP sensor leaks. Check minimum idle speed and PCV valve. A short to ground in a IAC circuit may cause a Code 49 to set.
