Vehicle Speed Sensor (On-Vehicle): Installation

IMPORTANT:  Inspect O-ring for damage and replace if necessary.

IMPORTANT:  Clean and lubricate fastener with Saturn Transaxle Fluid. Wipe off excess fluid and install.

1. Install speed sensor.

   Torque Vehicle Speed Sensor: 26 N.m (19 ft-lbs) 

2. Connect electrical connector to speed sensor. Push in until a click is heard and pull back to confirm positive engagement.
3. Lower vehicle.
4. Check transaxle fluid level. See TRANSAXLE FLUID LEVEL CHECKING PROCEDURE  .
