Removal & Installation

Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect Engine Control Module (ECM) harness connectors. Remove ECM mounting bolts Remove ECM. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten ECM mounting bolts to 71 INCH lbs. (8 N.m). Replacement ECM must be programmed prior to vehicle operation. Connect GM Tech II scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Following scan tool manufacturer's instructions, program ECM.
