WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Pontiac G5 Pursuit, 2007 Pontiac G5, and 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the Stop Lamp/TCC Switch.
- Ignition ON, test for greater than 10 volts between the ignition 1 voltage circuit terminal A and ground.
- If less than the specified voltage, test the voltage circuit for an open/high resistance, or a short to ground.
- Ignition OFF, connect the harness connector at the Stop Lamp/TCC Switch. Disconnect the harness connector C1 at the ECM.
- Test for 10 volts between the TCC Brake Switch/Cruise Control Release Signal circuit and ground.
- If less than the specified voltage, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance, or a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the Stop Lamp/TCC Switch.
- If at or greater than the specified voltage, replace the ECM.
