Engine Front Cover Replacement: Notes

  1. Remove the crankcase balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Replacement .
    2. Fig 1: Identifying Drive Belt Tensioner

  2. Remove the drive belt tensioner.

  3. Remove the idler pulley.
  4. Remove the engine front cover to water pump bolt.

  5. Remove the remaining engine front cover bolts.
  6. Remove the engine front cover.

  7. If the engine front cover gasket is damaged, remove the front engine mount. Refer to Engine Mount Replacement .
  8. Remove the front engine mount bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Bracket Replacement .
