Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Pontiac Solstice. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. Install the O-ring seal (3) to the VSS (2).
  2. Install the VSS (2) to the transmission.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the VSS bolt (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).

  4. Connect the VSS electrical connector (2).
  5. Install the front floor closeout panel. Refer to Floor Panel Tunnel Panel Front Closeout Panel Replacement .
  6. Lower the vehicle.
