Removal Procedure

    IMPORTANT: It is essential to comply with the instructions for the hydraulic modulator and the electronic brake control module (EBCM). Refer to ABS Control Unit General Repair Specification .
  1. Remove the hydraulic modulator with the EBCM. Refer to Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Replacement .
  2. Install the mounting link to the hydraulic modulator.
    • Remove the 2 sealing plugs (1) from the hydraulic modulator.
    • Position the retaining link (2).
    • Install the 2 sealing plugs into the hydraulic modulator.

    IMPORTANT: Remove the EBCM from hydraulic modulator without tilting it.
  3. Remove the EBCM from the hydraulic modulator.
    • Remove the 2 bolts (1).
    • Remove the EBCM from the hydraulic modulator.
