Removal Procedure

  1. Open the hood.
    2. CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution .
  2. Disconnect the battery.
    • Remove the ground connection from the negative terminal.
    • Loosen the nut.
  3. Raise the vehicle by its full height.

  4. Remove the intake manifold support (2).
    • Disconnect the wiring harness plug of the catalytic converter control oxygen sensor.
    • Disconnect the wiring harness plug (1) from the bracket.
    • Remove the 2 bolts (3).

  5. Disconnect the knock sensor wiring harness plug (1).
  6. Remove the knock sensor.

    Remove the bolt (2).
