Camshaft Position Actuator Magnet Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the engine mount strut bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Bracket Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (2) from the camshaft position actuator magnet.




4. Remove the camshaft position actuator magnet bolts.
5. Remove the camshaft position actuator magnet and O-ring seal.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the camshaft position actuator magnet O-ring seal and magnet.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice).


2. Install the camshaft position actuator magnet bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).





3. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (2) to the camshaft position actuator magnet.
4. Install the engine mount strut bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Bracket Replacement (Service and Repair).
5. Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
