Installation Procedure

  1. Position the generator to the vehicle.
    2. Fig 1: Identifying Generator

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  2. Install the generator bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

  3. Install the engine harness terminal (1) to the generator.
  4. Install the generator terminal nut (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

  5. Position the generator terminal protective boot (3).

  6. Connect the generator electrical connector (3).
  7. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (LAT) or Drive Belt Replacement (LE5) .
  8. Connect battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (With LAT)  or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Without LAT) .
