Steering Wheel Inflatable Restraint Module Replacement

Preliminary Procedure: 
Disable the supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
1 Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Assembly
WARNING: Refer to SIR Warning .

Procedures

  1. Insert a small blunt ended punch, or equivalent tool, through the access openings on the left and right of the steering wheel.
  2. Push the spring fastener inward to release the steering wheel inflator from the steering wheel.
