Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT FUSE (IG2, ECU-B, AM2, DCC) 
    1. Remove the IG2 fuse from the instrument panel J/B.
    2. Remove the ECU-B, DCC and AM2 fuses from the engine room R/B.
    3. Measure the resistance of the fuses.
      1. Standard: Below 1 Ω 
    1. NG: REPLACE FUSE 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the T8 ECU connector.
    2. Measure the resistance and voltage of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard: 

      TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      T8- 2 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch OFF 0 V
      T8- 2 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10 to 14 V
      T8- 1 (CPUB) - Body ground Always 10 to 14 V
      T8- 14 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: REPLACE TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSY
