Inspection Procedure

1. Disconnect the B33 ECM connector.

2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard voltage 

   TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION
   
   

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   B33-56 (D) - Body ground	Clutch pedal depressed	Below 1 V
   	Clutch pedal released	11 to 14 V

NG: Go to step 2 

OK : PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  . 

1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect the A3 clutch switch connector.
3. Remove the clutch switch. (See REMOVAL )
4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard resistance 

   TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION
   
   

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   1 - 2	Switch pin free (Clutch pedal depressed)	10 kΩ or higher
   	Switch pin pushed in (Clutch pedal released)	Below 1Ω

5. Install the clutch switch.
6. Reconnect the clutch switch connector.

NG : REPLACE CLUTCH SWITCH  (See REMOVAL )

OK: Go to next step. 

1. Disconnect the B33 ECM connector.
2. Disconnect the A3 clutch switch connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard resistance 

   TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION
   
   

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   B33-56 (D) - A3-2	Always	Below 1 Ω
   B33-56 (D) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

4. Reconnect the ECM connector.
5. Reconnect the clutch switch connector.

NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (BATTERY - CLUTCH SWITCH)
