Inspection Procedure
NOTE:
When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration (See CALIBRATION
).
- CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Check if the CAN communication system DTC is output (See
DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
).
Result

B : INSPECT CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )
A: Go to next step
- Check if the CAN communication system DTC is output (See
DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
).
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SKID CONTROL BUZZER)
- Connect a Techstream to the DLC3.
- Start the engine.
- Select the Active Test mode on the Techstream (See DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST
).
ABS/VSC/TRAC
ACTIVE TESTTester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note Buzzer Skid control buzzer Buzzer ON / OFF Buzzer can be heard - Check that the buzzer sounds or stops in accordance with the Techstream.
Result

B : REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
A: Go to next step
- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Replace the combination meter (See REMOVAL ).
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SKID CONTROL BUZZER)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Start the engine.
- Select the Active Test mode on the Techstream (See DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST
).
