Fuel Pump: Reassembly: Reassembly

NOTE:

Do not try to remove the black nylon tube as it is welded to the fuel suction tube assembly. Refer to PRECAUTION .

  1. INSTALL FUEL PUMP 
    1. Apply gasoline to a new O-ring. Then install the O-ring and spacer to the fuel pump.

      *1 New O-Ring
      *2 Spacer
    2. Connect the fuel pump harness connector.
    3. Attach the 5 claws of the fuel pump.
      NOTE:
      • Make sure that the O-ring is not cut or pinched during the installation.
      • Make sure the claws are attached securely.
      • Do not remove the fuel filter.
    4. Attach the 2 claws of the No. 1 fuel suction support.
    5. Attach the 2 claws of the fuel suction support to install the fuel filter and fuel pump to the fuel sub-tank.
    6. Align the groove of the fuel pump filter hose with the cutout of the fuel sub-tank and install the hose.
      NOTE:

      Do not apply excessive force to the fuel tube or the suction support.

    7. Connect the connector of the fuel pump harness.
    8. Attach the 2 harness clamps.
  2. INSTALL FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY  Refer to step  1
