Front Speed Sensor: Installation: Installation

HINT:
- Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.
- The following procedure listed is for the LH side.
- INSTALL FRONT SPEED SENSOR
- Install the front speed sensor to the steering knuckle with the bolt.
Torque: 8.5 N*m (87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf)
NOTE:- Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the sensor tip.
- Do not file the sensor installation hole or surface because the gap between the magnet rotor and front speed sensor is important.
- Install the No. 1 sensor clamp and the front brake flexible hose to the front shock absorber with the bolt.
Torque: 29 N*m (300 kgf*cm, 22 ft.*lbf)
NOTE:- Do not twist the front speed sensor wire harness during installation.
- Tighten the front brake flexible hose and front speed sensor together with the bolt. Make sure that the front brake flexible hose is positioned over the front speed sensor.
- Install the No. 2 sensor clamp to the front shock absorber with the bolt.
Torque: 29 N*m (296 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf)
- Install the No. 3 sensor clamp to the body with the nut.
Torque: 8.5 N*m (87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf)
- Connect the front speed sensor connector.
- Install the front speed sensor to the steering knuckle with the bolt.
- INSTALL WIRE HARNESS CLAMP (for RH Side)
- Engage the wire harness clamp to the No. 3 sensor clamp.
- INSTALL FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Install the front fender splash shield sub-assembly with the 7 clips and 3 new grommets.
- Install the pin hold clip.TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION
*a Correct *b Incorrect NOTE:Install the pin hold clip with the slot aligned vertically. Do not rotate the clip after inserting it. After installation, confirm that the slot is vertical.
- INSTALL FENDER REAR PLATE MUDGUARD . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
- INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 3
- INSTALL FRONT WHEEL
Torque: 103 N*m (1050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf)
- CHECK SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
