Front Seat Inner Belt Assembly: Installation: Installation

WARNING:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

NOTE:

When removing the front seat assembly RH, perform zero point calibration and the sensitivity check. Refer to INITIALIZATION .

HINT: 



  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side) 
    1. Temporarily install the front seat inner belt with the nut.

    2. Attach the 6 wire harness clamps.
    3. Attach the claw to connect the connector to the front seat cushion spring.
    4. Connect the wire harness to the seat slide position sensor protector.

    5. Connect the connector to the seat position airbag sensor.
    6. Tighten the nut.

      Torque: 42 N*m (428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Do not allow the anchor part of the front seat inner belt to overlap the protruding part of the front seat cushion spring.

  2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side) 
    1. Temporarily install the front seat inner belt with the nut.

    2. Attach the wire harness clamp and connect the connector.
    3. Tighten the nut.

      Torque: 42 N*m (428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Do not allow the anchor part of the front seat inner belt to overlap the protruding parts of the front seat cushion spring.

  3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to INSTALLATION

  4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .

  5. PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION AND SENSITIVITY CHECK (for Front Passenger Side) 

    Refer to INITIALIZATION

  6. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK (for Driver Side) 

    Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR

  7. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK (for Front Passenger Side) 
    1. Perform a diagnostic system check of the SRS system. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    2. Perform a diagnostic system check of the occupant classification system. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
  8. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT 

    Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM

  9. CHECK FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System) 
    1. Check the seat heater operation.
      1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
      2. Turn the seat heater switch on.
      3. Wait 5 minutes or more and confirm that the seat surface becomes warm.
