Fuel Injected Models

  1. Unplug the fuel pump electrical connector. Crank engine for 5 seconds to relieve fuel system pressure. Disconnect fuel hose at the fuel pressure regulator. Install a fuel pressure gauge in-line using a "T" fitting.
  2. Fuel pressure at idle speed should be 14 psi (.98 kg/cm2 ) on SPFI models and 36 psi (2.5 kg/cm2 ) on MPFI models. Increase RPM and ensure fuel pressure increases correspondingly.
