Ground Clearance Adjust 4 Wheel Drive Models

1. Measure crossmember height from ground, Fig. 2.

Conventional Suspension

1. Measure clearance between lowest point of rear crossmember and ground, Fig. 2.
2. If clearance is less than 9.65-10.83 inches for sedan models or 10.24-11.42 inches for wagon models, remove rear coil spring/shock absorber assemblies.
3. Compress coil springs using suitable tool, until lower spring seat can be rotated.
4. Position spring seat on shock absorber to alter ground clearance. Ground clearance is increased by .59 inch for each adjustment notch on spring seat.
5. Reinstall spring/shock absorber assembly and recheck ground clearance.

Pneumatic Suspension

If ride height is incorrect on these models, check for leaking air pipe or tank fittings, leaking or defective solenoid valves, defective height sensors or defective control unit.
