Anti-Lock Brake System - With TCS: Operation: TCS

While driving vehicle, if either drive wheel starts to slip, TCS control is activated. TCS employs 2 control systems, normal control and acceleration control. When 2 driving wheels slip, control system regards it as caused by excess engine torque and controls engine output by reducing amount of fuel injected into cylinders in addition to brake control to decrease excess torque (normal control). When one driving wheel slips, TCS restores engine torque in addition to brake control (acceleration control). TCS may be deactivated manually by using TCS OFF switch, located on left side of instrument panel.
