Throttle Position (TP) Sensor

NOTE: All testing procedures are performed with engine at normal operating temperature. For further TP sensor diagnosis, see appropriate TESTS W/CODES article.

Turn ignition on. With throttle fully closed, check and record voltage to ground at specified ECM terminals. See TP SENSOR SPECIFICATIONS table.
If necessary, loosen retaining screws and rotate TP sensor until correct voltages are obtained. Replace TP sensor if voltage cannot be adjusted to specification.

0.4-0.5 Volts

⁽¹⁾	Throttle Fully Closed. Checked by backprobing ECM harness connector terminals and with ignition on.
