Exhaust Gas Recirculation: Testing and Inspection

PROCEDURE
1. With engine at operating temperature, raise engine speed to 3500 to 4000 RPM and note exhaust gas recirculation valve shaft movement.
2 As engine speed is raised, exhaust gas recirculation valve shaft should move upward. After throttle is released, exhaust gas recirculation valve shaft should drop to its original position.
