Arming System With Remote Transmitter

  1. Close all windows and moon roof (if so equipped). Remove key from ignition switch. Open door(s) and exit the vehicle.
  2. Make sure engine hood is locked. Close all doors and the rear gate.
  3. Briefly press LOCK/ARM button (for less than 2 seconds). All doors (and rear gate) will lock. Horn will sound once, parking lights will flash once, and indicator light will flash slowly (approximately once every 2 seconds). See Fig 1 .

If any door or rear gate is not properly closed, the horn sounds 3 times, the parking lights flash 3 times, and the indicator light flashes rapidly. Once closed, the system will automatically arm and all doors will automatically lock.
