Passive Arming: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Subaru Outback and 2002 Subaru Legacy. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

When passive arming mode has been programmed by dealer, arming of the system is automatically accomplished without using the remote transmitter. In passive mode, DOORS MUST BE MANUALLY LOCKED.

In passive mode, the system can be armed with the remote transmitter or with the power door locking switches. If the remote transmitter or power door lock switch is used to lock the vehicle, arming will take place immediately regardless of whether or not the passive mode has been selected.
