Keyless Entry - Remote Transmitter Inoperative

15 B9 TRIBECA KEYLESS ENTRY INOPERATIVE

If you experience a B9 Tribeca with inoperative keyless entry remotes, check to see if the key warning chime goes off with the driver's door open and the key removed from the ignition switch. If it is, the ignition switch will probably need to be replaced as the small key-in ignition sub-switch is inoperative and telling the keyless entry module the key is in the ignition, when it's not, making the remotes inoperative. The sub-switch is not available separately.
