Front Axle: Removal

Lift up the vehicle, and remove the front wheels.
Lift the crimped section of axle nut.

Remove the axle nut using a socket wrench while depressing the brake pedal.
CAUTION: Do not loosen the axle nut while the front axle is loaded. Doing so may damage the hub bearing.
Remove the disc brake caliper from the housing, and suspend it from strut using a wire.

Remove the disc rotor.
NOTE: If it is difficult to remove the disc rotor from the hub, drive the 8 mm bolt into the threaded end of rotor, and then remove the rotor.

After removing the cotter pin and castle nut, use a puller to remove the tie-rod end from the front housing.

Remove the front ABS wheel speed sensor.

Remove the stabilizer link and ball joint.

Remove the front drive shaft from the transmission.
Remove the front drive shaft assembly from the hub. If it is hard to remove, use the ST.

Place an alignment mark on the camber adjusting bolt and front housing.
Remove two bolts to remove the front housing from the strut.
