Front Axle: Removal
- Lift up the vehicle, and remove the front wheels.
- Lift the crimped section of axle nut.
- Remove the axle nut using a socket wrench while depressing the brake pedal.CAUTION: Do not loosen the axle nut while the front axle is loaded. Doing so may damage the hub bearing.
- Remove the disc brake caliper from the housing, and suspend it from strut using a wire.
- Remove the disc rotor.NOTE: If it is difficult to remove the disc rotor from the hub, drive the 8 mm bolt into the threaded end of rotor, and then remove the rotor.
- After removing the cotter pin and castle nut, use a puller to remove the tie-rod end from the front housing.
- Remove the front ABS wheel speed sensor.
- Remove the stabilizer link and ball joint.
- Remove the front drive shaft from the transmission.
- Remove the front drive shaft assembly from the hub. If it is hard to remove, use the ST.

- Place an alignment mark on the camber adjusting bolt and front housing.
- Remove two bolts to remove the front housing from the strut.
