Knock Sensor: Installation

  1. Install the knock sensor to the cylinder block, and connect the connector (A) to the knock sensor.

    Tightening torque: 

    25 N.m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.4 ft-lb) 

    NOTE: The knock sensor should be installed so that the center of the connector is positioned as shown in the figure relative to the front of engine.

  2. Install the intake manifold. < Ref. to INSTALLATION , Intake Manifold. >
  3. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. < Ref. to BATTERY , NOTE, Repair Contents. >
  4. Install the collector cover.
