- Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. <Ref. to BATTERY , NOTE, Repair Contents.>
- Remove the trim panel - trunk lid. <Ref. to

, Trunk Room Trim.>NOTE: When removing the bulb only, remove the trim panel - trunk lid, then remove the bulb socket and the bulb.CAUTION: Use a dry clean cloth so that no grease or water adheres to the glass portion of the bulb.
- Remove the garnish - trunk. <Ref. to REMOVAL , Trunk Lid Garnish.>
- Remove the license plate light.
- Release the claws and pull out the license plate light.
- Disconnect the connector, and remove the license plate light.
- Rotate the bulb socket in the direction of arrow shown in the figure to remove the license plate light bulb.CAUTION: Use a dry clean cloth so that no grease or water adheres to the glass portion of the bulb.
