Cruise Control Steering Switch

  1. Measure the resistance between connector terminals.

    Terminal No. Inspection conditions Standard
    3 - 9 CANCEL

    SET/-


    RES/+
    All OFF Approx. 4, 020 Ω
    CANCEL ON Less than 1 Ω
    SET/- ON Approx. 250 Ω
    RES/+ ON Approx. 1, 470 Ω
    4 - 9 CRUISE OFF 3 MΩ or more
    ON Less than 1 Ω
  2. Apply battery voltage between the connector terminals to check lighting condition of illumination inside the switch.
    CAUTION:

    When applying battery voltage, do not mix up the positive (+) side and the negative (-) side. 


    Incorrect polarity connection may cause LED damage inside the switch.

    10 (+) - 11 (-) Apply battery voltage. Light ON
  3. Replace the cruise control steering switch if it is found defective.
