Exhaust Side

  1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
  2. Remove the air cleaner case. <Ref. to REMOVAL , Air Cleaner Case.>
  3. Disconnect the connector (A) from the exhaust oil flow control solenoid valve. (right side only.)
  4. Remove the engine harness fixing clip (B) and clip (C) from the engine harness stay. (right side only.)
  5. Remove the engine harness stay fixing bolt, and remove the engine harness stay fixing clip (D) and the exhaust oil flow control solenoid valve harness fixing clip (E). (right side only.)
  6. Remove the exhaust oil flow control solenoid valve connector (F) from the engine harness stay. (right side only.)

  7. Lift up the vehicle.
  8. Remove the under cover. <Ref. to REMOVAL , Front Under Cover.>
  9. Remove the front exhaust pipe. (right side only.) <Ref. to REMOVAL , Front Exhaust Pipe.>
  10. Remove the clip holding the engine harness. (Left side only)

  11. Disconnect the ground cable (A). (Left side only)
  12. Disconnect the connector (B) from the oil flow control solenoid valve (left side only), and remove the oil flow control solenoid valve from the cylinder head.
