How To Troubleshoot

NOTE:
  • Using the following procedures, perform the key warning system troubleshooting.
  • *: Use the SSM4.
  1. Bring in the car
  2. Check battery voltage
    1. Inspect the battery voltage.

      Standard voltage: 11 to 14V

      NOTE: If the voltage is 11 V or less, charge or replace the battery before proceeding to a next step.
  3. CAN communication system check
    1. Check CAN communication system. (Refer to HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT )
    RESULT DESCRIPTION

    Result Go to
    Functioning properly A
    Not functioning properly B

    B: Go to "CAN communication system (How to troubleshoot)" (Refer to HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT ).

    A: Go to the next step

  4. Symptom table

  5. General analysis and troubleshooting *
    1. ECM terminals (Refer to ECM TERMINAL ARRANGEMENT )
    2. Data monitor/active test (Refer to DATA MONITOR/ACTIVE TEST )
  6. Repair or replace
  7. Confirmation test

    Complete
